Our approach

Finding the cause, not just easing the pain

Every treatment starts with a thorough assessment: a conversation about your history and activities, then mobility and strength tests, provocation tests and functional tests. The goal is to find the cause of the pain, not just the place where you feel it.

Treatment combines hands-on techniques performed by the physiotherapist (joint mobilisations, myofascial techniques and, where appropriate, gentle manipulations) with hands-off techniques: exercise, self-mobilisations you learn to do yourself, movement advice and lifestyle advice.

The result: an improvement that lasts, because you understand your complaint and know how to manage it. If your complaint is not one for physiotherapy, we refer you to your doctor.

FAQ

Your questions about manual therapy

Do I need a prescription for manual therapy?

To be reimbursed, yes: manual therapy is part of physiotherapy and requires a doctor’s prescription. Don’t have one yet? Contact us and we will explain how it works.

Does it hurt?

Techniques are adapted to your comfort level. You may feel slightly sore after a session; this usually fades within 24 to 48 hours.

How many sessions will I need?

That depends on your complaint. Many patients feel better after a few sessions. After the assessment we draw up a realistic plan.

Are you contracted with INAMI/RIZIV?

Yes. Ali and Salah are contracted physiotherapists: they charge the official INAMI/RIZIV rates, which keeps your personal share low.

How is manual therapy different from “regular” physiotherapy?

Manual therapy is a specialisation of physiotherapy that requires additional training. It focuses on a thorough assessment and on treating the cause, combining hands-on techniques with exercise.

What should I bring?

Your prescription, your ID card (eID), comfortable clothing and any imaging you have (X-ray, ultrasound, MRI, CT scan).
